Deals worth waiting for

This page isn’t a live price feed, and it doesn’t refresh itself every hour. It’s a shorter, more useful thing: the products in our guides that we have watched discount repeatedly, with the pattern described plainly so you can decide whether to buy now or wait. Every figure below was checked against live retail listings on 3 August 2026.

Two honest warnings before the list. First, a discount is only a discount against a price something actually sold for, and manufacturer list prices are frequently fiction. Where a product’s “list” price is one it has not commanded in months, we say so rather than quoting the saving. Second, 2026 has moved against buyers in several categories: memory prices and graphics-card pricing pushed budget gaming PCs up rather than down, and Valve raised Steam Deck prices mid-year. Not every category has a deal to wait for.

Worth waiting for a sale

These discount deeply and often enough that paying list is usually a mistake.

• Razer Fujin mesh chair. Lists at $649 and has been selling around $427, roughly a third off. The discount is routine rather than seasonal. See gaming chairs.
• Ninja Foodi Dual Zone air fryer. Regular price $229.99, with real sales landing near $150 to $160. Sub-$150 is rare, so treat $150 as the floor worth waiting for. See air fryers.
• Shark FlexStyle. A $349.99 list that street-prices between $230 and $300 most of the year, and the SharkNinja store itself has run it at $249.99. See personal care devices.
• Alienware Aurora. Alienware’s sale cadence is the whole buying strategy here: configurations that list well above $2,000 have sold around $1,479 to $1,899. Never buy this line at list. See gaming PCs.
• Secretlab Titan Evo. Direct from Secretlab runs $519 to $589 during its frequent sales against a higher Amazon floor, so buying direct during a sale is usually the cheaper route. See gaming chairs.

Buy whenever you need it

These sit close enough to their real price year-round that waiting mostly costs you the use of the thing.

• Kasa EP40 outdoor smart plug, about $19 against a $24.99 list. See smart plugs.
• HyperX SoloCast 2, commonly $45 to $55 against a $59.99 list. See webcams and mics.
• Frida Baby Electric NoseFrida, essentially always $39.99. See baby products.
• Frisco 72-inch cat tree, $96.59 at Chewy in every colour. See pet beds and furniture.
• Lodge cast iron, $24.99 to $29.99 depending on size, which is close enough to its floor that a sale is a rounding error. See cookware.

Going the wrong way in 2026

Waiting here has cost buyers money rather than saved it.

• Budget gaming PCs. Memory prices and RTX 50-series pricing pushed this whole tier up: machines that sat in the mid-$800s a year ago now open around $1,050. Our budget gaming PC guide explains what changed.

When the real sales happen

For the categories above that do discount, the meaningful windows are Labor Day for chairs, desks and TVs; October’s Prime-style event for Amazon-exclusive brands; and the stretch from Black Friday through mid-December for kitchen appliances, gaming hardware and anything Shark or Ninja makes. Outside those, a “sale” is often just the price.
