A 240Hz 1440p panel is only worth the money if your graphics card can actually feed it. Behind a mid-range GPU, that screen spends most of its life nowhere near 240 frames, and the same budget would have done more as a better card, or as a higher-quality panel at a sensible refresh rate.

Panel type sets the character. IPS gives the best color and viewing angles, VA gives deeper contrast and can smear in dark scenes, and OLED is superb but carries a burn-in consideration for static interfaces. Treat quoted response times with suspicion, since manufacturers cite best-case gray-to-gray figures under overdrive settings that introduce visible overshoot. Adaptive sync should match your card. Check whether the stand adjusts, or whether you will be buying an arm as well.
