Before you buy

Beauty tools are the part of a routine you buy once and use for years, which is why the math works differently here. A dryer or styler that costs three times more but survives five years of daily heat is cheaper per use than the one you replace every year, as long as you really do use it daily.

Be honest about that part first. A device that adds ten minutes to a morning you do not have will sit in a drawer no matter how well it performs. The rest is practical. Is the heat adjustable, or is there one punishing setting? Are replacement heads and filters still sold, or is the tool disposable by design? For anything LED or microcurrent, what does the evidence actually support, as opposed to what the marketing implies?

These guides lean on manufacturer specifications and expert testing published elsewhere, then on verified buyer reviews for the failures that show up a year in. Motors and batteries are where cheap tools give themselves away.
